    Abstract:
    This Mali Order creates in each regional and local administrative unit a commission for the elimination of illiteracy under the authority of the Party and Administration. The duties of the commissions are as follows: 1) to conceive, coordinate, and manage literacy activities; 2) to support and control facilities involved in literacy activities with a view to adapting them to local circumstances; 3) to promote and increase the use of national languages; and 4) to inform and sensitize the population and mobilize human, material, and financial resources. Further provisions of the Order set forth the members of various commissions, among other things.
