PubMed ID: 12395517. Abstract: The exhaust gases from automobiles constitute about 75% of air pollution. Among the various pollutants emitted from vehicles, CO is the primary pollutant and very toxic one. The CO monitor method was used to measure the CO level in Chidambaram town. From the study, it is evident that the CO level is closely related to the density of motor vehicles plying on the roads.
