    Abstract:
    OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effect of nitric oxide (NO), TNF alpha, IL-6, IL-8 on the pathogenesis of infertile men. METHODS: NO, TNF alpha, IL-6 and IL-8 levels were assayed in 80 infertile men and 26 normal men. RESULTS: The levels of NO, TNF alpha, IL-6 and IL-8 in infertile men were all significantly higher than those in controls (P < 0.01 or P < 0.05). NO was positively correlated with TNF alpha, IL-6 and IL-8 (P < 0.01). CONCLUSION: NO, TNF alpha, IL-6 and IL-8 might play an important role in the pathogenic process of infertile.
