    Abstract:
    Of the various factors that serve as the ingredients for a healthy and successful medical group, none is more important than the people. In a medical group practice, physicians are the key to ensuring that the culture is grounded on a set of values and principles that promote teamwork and focus. Without it, the environment is destined to be grounded on hypocrisy and distrust. Organizations that take the time and commit the energy to effectively mentor new physicians will have the best chance of maintaining synchronization based on the alignment of individual expectation and the realities of the organization.
