Abstract: Four cases of the scimitar syndrome with typical radiologic findings are described. The cases demonstrate that when a curved density along the right paracardial border that descends toward the diaphragm is visible on the posteroanterior chest radiograph, the possibility of an anomalous connection of the pulmonary vein with the inferior vena cava should be considered.
