    Abstract:
Results of treatment of 368 children with intestinal invagination are analyzed for 1976-2001. Features of intestinal invagination are determined. One of the main features is increase to 50% in the number of patients with this disease older than one year. Invagination in these patients progresses more mildly and has a more benigh course leading to diagnostic mistakes before hospitalization in 85.8% cases and ones in surgical units--in 3.5%. Efficacy of conservative treatment of invagination in children older than one year (95.8%) and of recurrence of the disease (100%) is demonstrated. Conservative desinvagination is the method of choice in the treatment of intestinal invagination regardless of age.
