Title: [An experimental study of the implantation of an epitendineum-109 human hair artificial tendon complex in rabbits]. Author: Xie Q, Cao QD. Journal: Di Yi Jun Yi Da Xue Xue Bao; 2003 Jun; 23(6):584-6. PubMed ID: 12810383. Abstract: OBJECTIVE: To study the feasibility of in vivo implantation of an epitendineum-109 human hair (109HH) artificial tendon composite. METHODS: An absorbable epitendineum-109HH artificial tendon complex was implanted into rabbits to observe its changes at different time points. In control groups, 109HH artificial tendons or the artificial tendon-Dacron complex were implanted instead. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: and Conclusion The epitendieum-109HH artificial tendon complex was gradually but finally completely absorbed by the surrounding tissues to be replaced by normal tendon without conglutination or scar formation, approving the feasibility of the implantation of epitendineum-109 human hair artificial tendon complex in vivo.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
