Title: [Myoarthropathy of the temporomandibular joint and masticatory muscles. Pain therapy management and relaxation instead of aggressive surgery]. Author: Türp JC. Journal: MMW Fortschr Med; 2003 May 08; 145(19):33-5. PubMed ID: 12813975. Abstract: Temporomandibular pain is often characterized by a mismatch between symptoms and findings. The dentist's well-established therapeutic strategies for the management of acute pain are therefore frequently not effective in patients with painful temporomandibular disorders (TMD). When consulted by patients with rheumatic diseases, physicians should routinely enquire whether they also experience temporomandibular pain.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
