  • Title: [The valves of the ureter. Apropos of 2 cases].
Author: el Ouakdi M, Njeh M, Zermani R, Ayed M.
Journal: Prog Urol; 1992 Feb; 2(1):99-103. PubMed ID: 1299521.
    Abstract:
The authors report two cases of congenital ureteral valves of the upper third of the ureter complicated by renal stone in two children and diagnosed by I.V.P. The two patients underwent a resection of the pathological segment and a pelvic-ureteral anastomosis successfully. The review of the literature data regarding ureteral valves allowed to emphasize the uncommon of the bilateral form complicated by renal stone and the better preoperative diagnosis by ureteroscopy and antegrade pyelogram.
