Title: [Postoperative rectoprostatic fistulas. Report of 2 cases. Review of the literature]. Author: Mottet N, Louis JF, Costa P, Navratil H. Journal: Prog Urol; 1992 Jun; 2(3):442-9. PubMed ID: 1302084. Abstract: The authors report two cases of acquired prostatorectal fistulae after TURP, which were treated by a Kraske approach. They review the literature of iatrogenic fistulae and all of the techniques of approaching the prostatorectal region. If the bladder drainage is always necessary and may be sufficient in as much as 34% of the patients, the need for a colostomy and the choice of the approach is discussed.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
