Abstract: A rare case is reported of a large liver cell adenoma originating in the caudate lobe of the liver in a 38-year-old women with no history of liver cirrhosis or use of oral contraceptives: Caudate lobectomy of the liver is described. Passing tapes around the inferior vena cava was useful for controlling the bleeding from a torn short hepatic vein.
