Title: [Aneurysms of the thoracic aorta detected in patients with aortic coarctation before surgery and in the late period afterwards]. Author: Frantsev VI, Iurgens TA. Journal: Vestn Khir Im I I Grek; 1992; 149(9-10):151-7. PubMed ID: 1341385. Abstract: At the period from 1964 to 1989 operations were performed on 454 patients with coarctation of the aorta. Long-term results were analyzed in 300 patients operated upon. The cause of the formation of false aneurysms in the area of an anastomosis at later terms after operation was in most cases the partial prosthetic detachment due to cutting or resorption of sutures, inflammatory destruction in the area of anastomosis. All the patients subjected to operation for aorta coarctation, alloprosthesing in particular, need the dynamic follow-up and examination.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
