Abstract: A case of severe disabling hemofacial pain in a Tanzanian African caused by gasseroma which was successfully removed is presented and the nature of the illness outlined. Intractable ticdouloureux is mainly due to vascular compression on the fifth cranial nerve or secondary to conditions to the nerve.
