  • Title: Selective approach to repair of ureteropelvic junction obstruction: results of 126 pyeloplasties assessed on clinical and radiological bases.
    Author: Marya SK, Gupta AK.
Journal: Int Surg; 1992; 77(3):203-7. PubMed ID: 1399370.
    Abstract:
Record-files of 126 pyeloplasties of different types performed on 119 patients (7 bilaterally), between 1966 and 1989, have been reviewed in an attempt to illustrate the selective approach to hydronephrosis due to ureteropelvic junction obstruction. Clinical success was achieved in all cases. A new grading system for assessing urographic impairment has been suggested. Radiological success was obtained in 123 (97.6%) renal units. The near total success is attributed to the theme of selective approach.
