PubMed ID: 1433434. Abstract: A 44 year-old man, found in his gasoline vapor filled car, died of multiple organ failure on d 9. Blood samples from d 2-7 were analyzed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. The estimated half-lives of gasoline, toluene, ethylbenzene, m,p-xylene, and o-xylene were 16.9, 21.4, 27.5, 32.8, and 25.8 h respectively.
