PubMed ID: 1447877. Abstract: Treatment of 108 patients with concurrent cicatricial stenosis of the esophagus and stomach is analysed. Various operations were performed on the stomach in 70 patients. The patency of the esophagus was restored by forced bougienage and intubation. The late-term results were studied in 48 patients in follow-up periods of 2-13 years. Forty-two patients feel quite well and are engaged in physical work, they live on a common diet. Six have to chew their food thoroughly.
