Abstract: Residencies in obstetrics and gynecology are popular with graduating medical students, especially women, and positions are filled in excess of 100%. New Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education special requirements have focused on several clinical areas and require demonstration of scholarly activity by faculty and 24-hour in-house faculty coverage.
