Abstract: Transcatheter dilatation is considered the elective treatment of residual coarctation. In the presence of native coarctation, dilatation is often effective but in the first months of life, and the risk of aneurysm formation is not low. The use of stents in adolescents and adults provides excellent results and seems to reduce the complication and aneurysm rates.
