Title: [Changes in blood linear velocity in the inferior cava vein after combined trauma in early posttraumatic period]. Author: Kachesov VA, Kartavenko VI, Nedorostkova TIu, Shabanov AK, Abakumov MM. Journal: Khirurgiia (Mosk); 2003; (12):24-6. PubMed ID: 14671600. Abstract: Blood linear velocity in inferior cava vein was measured in 74 persons (men and women) aged from 18 to 55 years including 29 healthy volunteers and 45 patients with various severity of trauma and different assessment of its severity by APACHE-2 scale. Correlation between APACHE-2 index and changes of ratio of blood linear velocities in inferior cava vein was demonstrated. It is concluded that ratio of blood linear velocities in inferior cava vein can be used as a criterion of treatment efficacy in patients with combined trauma in early postoperative period.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
