Title: Low cost anaerobic system for Indonesia: single baffled septic tank. Author: Wibisono G, Mathew K, Ho G. Journal: Water Sci Technol; 2003; 48(11-12):193-8. PubMed ID: 14753536. Abstract: The insertion of a single baffle into a laboratory septic tank to mix incoming feed with sludge has been shown to improve anaerobic degradation of the feed. This is particularly true of soluble organic matter such as glucose. Oil or cellulose fed separately does not undergo degradation. It is expected however that a balanced feed such as sewage will be better degraded.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
