PubMed ID: 1492390. Abstract: A rate of oxidative reactions was decreased in brain mitochondria under conditions of toxic edema and within 1 day after traumatic impairment of brain tissue. Oxidative phosphorylation in mitochondria was normalized within 4 days after trauma.
