Title: Cutaneous trunci myocutaneous flap: a new and reliable model for muscle free flap research in the rat. Author: Werker PM, Kon M. Journal: Microsurgery; 1992; 13(4):204-7. PubMed ID: 1495383. Abstract: This paper deals with the first myocutaneous flap in the rat. It is located just caudal to the axilla and consists of the insertion of the cutaneous trunci muscle with overlying subcuticular fat and skin and is supplied by the lateral thoracic vessels. It exhibits an all-or-none survival pattern. Because the skin can serve as a marker for muscle viability, we believe that this flap has great potential in future free muscle research.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
