Title: [Current pharmacotherapy of schizophrenia]. Author: Bitter I. Journal: Orv Hetil; 2004 Jan 18; 145(3):105-9. PubMed ID: 15027331. Abstract: Second generation antipsychotics have become the standard of modern pharmacotherapy of schizophrenia. Amisulprid, clozapine, olanzapine, quetiapine, risperidone, sertindol, ziprasidone are the second generation antipsychotics registered in Hungary. They are more efficacious and their side effects are less stigmatizing than those of the first generation of antipsychotic drugs. Their use is limited by the availability of different formulations, by the lack of experience of some physicians, however the main limitation is the economic barrier.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
