Title: Oligohydramnios induced by maternal indomethacin therapy. Author: Uslu T, Ozcan FS, Aydin C. Journal: Int J Clin Pharmacol Ther Toxicol; 1992 Jul; 30(7):230-2. PubMed ID: 1506126. Abstract: Indomethacin is a potent tocolytic agent used in premature labor. The most observed adverse effect was the constriction of ductus arteriosus, causing persistent fetal circulation postnatally. Until recently, decrease in amniotic fluid during treatment with indomethacin has been shown partly by subjective methods. In comparison with posttreatment results, using "amniotic fluid index", transient decrease in amniotic fluid was determined semi-quantitatively.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
