Title: Third-trimester uterine rupture after prostaglandin E2 use for labor induction. Author: Maymon R, Haimovich L, Shulman A, Pomeranz M, Holtzinger M, Bahary C. Journal: J Reprod Med; 1992 May; 37(5):449-52. PubMed ID: 1507193. Abstract: Prostaglandin E2 is a powerful oxytoxic agent that reliably initiates labor, even in the presence of an unripened cervix.
