Title: [Wunderlich syndrome secondary to the rupture of an aneurysm of the renal artery. Review of the literature]. Author: Reig Ruiz C, Tremps Velázquez E, Margarit Creixell C, Vila Barja J, Palacio EV, Soler Roselló A. Journal: Arch Esp Urol; 1992 Jun; 45(5):417-20. PubMed ID: 1510471. Abstract: We report a case of Wunderlich's syndrome secondary to spontaneous rupture of a renal artery aneurysm. Wunderlich's syndrome, also called spontaneous perirenal hematoma, may arise from several causes, the most common being renal tumors, particularly angiomyolipoma and hypernephroma. Spontaneous perirenal hematoma secondary to a ruptured renal artery aneurysm is rare and very few cases have been reported in the literature. We discuss the usefulness of the different noninvasive imaging techniques (US, CT and arteriography), our therapeutic approach and those advocated by others.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
