Title: Atypical eosinophilic fasciitis localized to the hands and feet: a report of four cases. Author: Spinner RJ, Ginsburg WW, Lie JT, Kumta SM, Leung PC. Journal: J Rheumatol; 1992 Jul; 19(7):1141-6. PubMed ID: 1512775. Abstract: We describe 4 patients who had episodic localized swelling of an extremity, 2 of the hand and 2 of the foot, in combination with peripheral eosinophilia and a biopsy characteristic of eosinophilic fasciitis (EF). Surgical excision produced marked improvement in the patients' symptoms. Whether these patients, despite a characteristic biopsy, can be included in the spectrum of EF remains uncertain.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
