  • Title: [Methods of assuring research quality in industrial hygiene laboratories].
    Author: Dobecki M.
Journal: Med Pr; 2004; 55(1):19-25. PubMed ID: 15156763.
    Abstract:
Quality assurance is a part of quality management to ensure that the requirements of good quality are met. Quality assurance can be considered from two aspects, laboratory organization and management and technical activity, e.g. testing, analytical techniques or analytical equipment. Quality of testing in industrial hygiene laboratories can be achieved using appropriate methods of quality control of sampling and analytical processes. These methods should be well planned and properly documented, while statistical techniques should be used to verify the results. The outcome of quality control plans aimed at improving the quality of tests can contribute to the improvement of analytical proficiency, assuring quality, validation or revalidation of methods and estimation of measurement uncertainty.
