Title: [Effects of helio-geomagnetic disturbances on the human hemorheological characteristics]. Author: Ionova VG, Sazanova EA, Sergeenko NP. Journal: Aviakosm Ekolog Med; 2004; 38(2):33-7. PubMed ID: 15233035. Abstract: Effects of geomagnetic disturbances on the rheological characteristics of blood and the homeostasis system were studies in 62 essentially healthy men. Rheological blood parameters, i.e. viscidity, hematocrit, fibrinogen, and erythrocyte and thrombocyte aggregation demonstrated statistically significant responses to alterations in the solar and geomagnetic activities. The authors raise a discussion about mechanisms of the physical processes in the near-Earth space on the blood rheological parameters.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
