Abstract: The use of free microvascular groin flaps, both myocutaneous and osteocutaneous, is described in five patients with hemifacial microsomia. Flaps were designed according to the degree of soft tissue and skeletal abnormality. Long-term results are described. Though the majority of patients with hemifacial microsomia do not require free flap grafts, the procedure does present as a viable approach to severe tissue deficiency with excellent results.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
