Abstract: Rhegmatogenous retinal detachment followed peribulbar injection in a patient with preexisting sympathetic ophthalmia. Inadvertent globe perforation resulted in subsequent rhegmatogenous retinal detachment. Scleral buckling and pars plana vitrectomy reattached the retina.
