Abstract: Iatrogenic injury to the iliac vein or inferior vena cava (IVC), which may occur during abdominal operations or posterior orthopedic procedures, can have devastating consequences. Operative management is challenging and may be associated with significant morbidity. The authors report herein 3 cases of iatrogenic pelvic vein injuries that were managed with different treatment approaches.
