Title: [Multiple intra-oral fistulae]. Author: Snaathorst J, Wolvius EB, van der Wal KG. Journal: Ned Tijdschr Tandheelkd; 2005 Jan; 112(1):24-6. PubMed ID: 15693605. Abstract: A 20-year-old man presented with multiple intra-oral fistulae in the anterior part of the mandible. The patient was diagnosed with secondary osteomyelitis. Microbiologic survey revealed positive cultures for Staphylococcus aureus, Haemophilus para-influenzae and alpha-haemolytic streptococci. After sequestrectomy and decortication, the mobile teeth were splinted. The patient was treated with intravenous antibiotics, followed by long-term oral antibiotics.
