Abstract: Passive cigarette smoking is an important medical problem; it concerns first of all children as an injurious environmental factor affecting their health. Results of the conducted questionnaire and evaluation of the CO concentration in exhaled air proved the injurious exposure to be the cigarette smoke. The study showed more often allergy, bronchial asthma and respiratory tract infections in the group of children exposed to passive smoking cigarettes at home in comparison with the group of children without this exposure. The study was conducted among 75 families belonging to Model Family Practice so it has also important educational aspects.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
