A patient who presented clinical manifestations of heart failure for two weeks due to obstruction of a mechanical prosthesis in tricuspid position is described. Fibrinolytic treatment was given unsuccessfully, therefore prosthetic replacement was performed. In the removed prosthesis, a fibrotic pannus which developed in the strut and disc was seen. We review the clinical manifestations, the diagnosis and treatment of the dysfunction of a prosthesis implanted in tricuspid position.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
