Title: [The leukocytic index of intoxication and some blood parameters in the evaluation of the severity of inflammatory, purulent, and pyodestructive diseases at various sites and in the determination of their prognosis]. Author: Ostrovskiĭ VK, Mashchenko AV, Iangolenko DV, Makarov SV. Journal: Anesteziol Reanimatol; 2005; (6):25-9. PubMed ID: 16499101. Abstract: The leukocytic index of intoxication (LII), hemoglobin, leukocytes, and lymphocytes were studied in patients with inflammatory, purulent, and pyodestructive diseases of the abdomen, lung, and soft tissues. It was shown that Lll progressively increased and the levels of lymphocytes decreased as the states deteriorated in all groups of patients, particularly in those who died due to ineffective treatment. This all testifies to the diagnostic and predictive value of these parameters and they may be wider used in the treatment of patients with inflammatory, purulent, and pyodestructive diseases at various sites. This is indicated by the values obtained by the end of treatment of patients.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
