Journal: Fiziol Zh SSSR Im I M Sechenova; 1991 Feb; 77(2):106-10. PubMed ID: 1652505.
    Abstract:
The blood temperature was measured in the abdominal aorta and in the v. cava posterior as blood flowed from the legs to the heart in anesthetised rabbits. The temperature in the v. cava posterior was changed by the influx of blood from various tissues and organs of abdominal cavity and of the body. The temperature was increased by the influx of blood from liver (0.23 degrees C +/- 0.03) and kidneys (0.25 degrees C +/- 0.04). The temperature fall was caused by the influx from subcutaneous veins (0.18 degrees C +/- 0.04). The temperature in the aorta was equal to the temperature in the right heart.
