Abstract: Increased blood eosinophil count may be caused by a range of diseases, from allergic disorders to malignant tumors. The allergist is often consulted to evaluate patients with this finding and he should not only rule out the presence of allergy, but through a detailed history taking and physical examination, he should provide a list of likely causes of the patient blood eosinophilia.
