Title: Medpor alternative for microtia repair. Author: Romo T, Presti PM, Yalamanchili HR. Journal: Facial Plast Surg Clin North Am; 2006 May; 14(2):129-36, vi. PubMed ID: 16750770. Abstract: Autologous costal cartilage has been the material of choice for framework in auricular reconstruction. However, the advent of porous high-density polyethylene (Medpor) has provided an effective alternative in microtia repair. Results from clinical experience and bench research support this claim. When using this material, the authors noted impressive results with low associated morbidity.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
