Title: [Synthesis and evaluation of central nervous system activity of new triaza-spirodecanediones]. Author: Coudert P, Rubat C, Couquelet JM, Bastide J, Bastide P. Journal: Pharm Acta Helv; 1991; 66(5-6):155-9. PubMed ID: 1686098. Abstract: It has been possible to prepare from 8-(2-phenylethyl)-1,3,8-triaza [4, 5] spirodecane-2,4-dione a new series of derivatives substituted on the nitrogen atom in the 3-position of the hydantoïn ring. Several compounds exhibited sedative, anticonvulsant and anxiolytic activities. The aryl or heteroaryl-piperazinomethyl substituted compounds were the most active derivatives. "Buspirone-like" anxiolytic effects were found in some compounds from 5 mg/kg dose per os.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
