Title: Genetic polymorphisms of adhesion molecules in children with severe RSV-associated diseases. Author: Krueger M, Puthothu B, Heinze J, Forster J, Heinzmann A. Journal: Int J Immunogenet; 2006 Aug; 33(4):233-5. PubMed ID: 16893383. Abstract: Adhesion molecules are involved in the pathophysiology of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)-associated diseases. By testing polymorphisms within ICAM-1, VCAM-1 and E-selectin, we found no evidence for association of any polymorphism with severe RSV infections. Thus, we conclude that these genes do not predispose to severe RSV-associated diseases.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
