Title: [Reaction of the salivary glands to acute stress]. Author: Tarasenko LM, Devatkina TA, Tsebrzhinskiĭ OI, Grebennikova VF, Mel'nikova SV. Journal: Fiziol Zh (1978); 1990; 36(2):104-6. PubMed ID: 1694502. Abstract: Experiment on male rats has shown that acute stress suppressed amylase and superoxide dismutase activity in the submandibular salivary glands.
