Title: [Study of the conditions maintaining the synthesis of alpha-amylase by Bacillus species]. Author: Dvadtsatova EA, Prosvetova TI, Iarovenko VL. Journal: Prikl Biokhim Mikrobiol; 1976; 12(4):515-7. PubMed ID: 17108. Abstract: The effect of temperature and different carbon sources on the growth of Bacillus species and the synthesis of alpha-amylase was studied. The temperature of 40 degrees proved to be optimal for those processes. Starch was found to be the best carbon source. The maximum accumulation of the enzyme was seen by the 40th hour of growth.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
