Title: Decreased cortical excitability due to a large venous angioma. Author: Spilioti M, Ameridou I, Ilias A, Evangeliou A, Amoiridis G. Journal: Pediatr Neurol; 2006 Dec; 35(6):433-5. PubMed ID: 17138015. Abstract: This study reports on a patient with episodes of right hand paralysis and complete sensory loss, considered to be functional because of a glove-like distribution of the sensory deficit, normal motor and sensory nerve conduction studies of median and ulnar nerve as well as normal median nerve somatosensory evoked potentials. Transcranial magnetic stimulation indicated increased threshold of the left hemisphere. Neuroimaging studies revealed a large venous angioma in the left frontal lobe.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
