  • Title: [CT analysis of the retinoblastoma in eyeball].

    Abstract:
    PURPOSE: To improve the cognition to CT findings of retinoblastoma in eyeball. METHODS: Twenty cases (24 eyes) retinoblastoma proved pathology were performed by orbit axial CT scan. Their CT findings were analyzed in details. RESULTS: All the cases showing mass and lumps with calcifications in eyeball. According to the growth pattern of the retinoblastoma, they were sorted into the endogenous (in 7 eyes), the exogenous (in 14 eyes) and the mixed (in 3 eyes). Seventeen eyes have detachment of the retina, including 14 exogenous eyes and 3 mixed eyes. CONCLUSION: According to the CT represents of the retinoblastoma, their growth pattern can be inferred, and this is helpful for clinical doctors to choose the therapeutic regimen.
