Title: [Struma ovarii, a rare form of ovarian tumor]. Author: Kunstmann L, Fénichel P. Journal: Gynecol Obstet Fertil; 2007 Jan; 35(1):49-54. PubMed ID: 17196426. Abstract: Struma ovarii, a rare form of ovarian tumor, represents less than 3% of ovarian teratomas. The peak frequency occurs during the fifth decade of life. Struma ovarii can be associated with thyroid biology abnormalities, or exceptionally become malignant, and thus managed as a thyroid cancer.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
