  • Title: [The portfolio does not contribute significantly to the quality of specialist education].
    Author: Vermeulen M.
Journal: Ned Tijdschr Geneeskd; 2007 Feb 24; 151(8):493. PubMed ID: 17378309.
    Abstract:
The portfolio for the training of medical specialists is a time-consuming affair that has never been demonstrated to improve the training. The portfolio originated in the world of art and advertising and was then embraced by pedagogy. Now there is also criticism of the portfolio from the direction of educational theorists. The portfolio should be abolished.
