Abstract: Deep penetrating nevus is a cutaneous pigmented lesion first reported by Seab et al. in 1989. The skin of the face and neck region is one of the most common sites for deep penetrating nevus. Despite this prevalence in the head and neck region, deep penetrating nevus has not previously been discussed in journals emphasizing oral and maxillofacial pathology.
