Title: [Quantitative assessment of partial flow-volume curves in respiratory healthy and sick infants and young children]. Author: Hüls G, Hüls S, Lindemann H. Journal: Pneumologie; 1991 Nov; 45(11):897-8. PubMed ID: 1762999. Abstract: In 83 patients of 1 to 24 months of age the flow quotients were calculated at 75, 50 and 25% of the tidal volume. The subjects were classified into four groups, depending on their basic disease: 1. healthy patients in respect of respiration; 2. patients with intrathoracic obstruction; 3. patients with extrathoracic obstruction and 4. patients suffering from a combined obstruction. It was found that in particular the quotient Fi25/Fe25 is suitable for differentiation between the studied groups.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
