Title: Multiple involvements of cardiac sarcoidosis in both left and right ventricles and papillary muscles detected by delayed-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging. Author: Sato Y, Matsumoto N, Kunimasa T, Imai S, Matsuo S, Nakano Y, Yoda S, Kunimoto S, Saito S, Hirayama A. Journal: Int J Cardiol; 2008 Nov 12; 130(2):288-90. PubMed ID: 17689728. Abstract: Cardiac sarcoidosis may cause various cardiac symptoms including congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, conduction disturbances and sudden death, depending upon the extent and sites of cardiac involvement. We describe a patient presenting with ventricular tachycardia and congestive heart failure. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed multiple delayed-enhanced areas in the left and right ventricles and papillary muscles.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
